The Dresder photographer Selma Genthe published in the 1920's her photos in numerous books about body culture. She worked with the dance and gymnastic teacher Dora Menzler and illustrated her books "Gestaltete Bewegung", "Körperschulung der Frau", "Die Schönheit Deines Körpers". Selma Genthe's studio completely burned out in Dresden, 1944. Her archive can be found in the collection of the Folkwang Museum Essen
