Died 09/10/1963, Rudolfov u Českých Budějovic Josef Bartuška - central personality of the South-Bohemian avant-garde group Fotolinie - consistently applied the principles of modern photography in his works of the 30´s. The main trait of his work is a lyrical melancholy and linkage to his literary works. His production did not reach appreciation but in the 80´s. In the 20´s Bartuška already won recognition as a poet and painter in many reviews, he wrote several poetry collections influenced by social work and Poetism of which he illustrated some and prepared graphic layout for.
