Harry Braine was a prominent member of the Photographic Society of Ireland during the 1930's winning many awards at home and abroad. He held a one man show in 1939 of his photographs taken backstage at various Dublin theatres of such notables such as Jimmy O'Dea and Noel Purcell. He was one of the founders of the Dublin Amateur Camera Club in 1945. (The name was changed to Dublin Camera Club in 1968)
